When we set out to commission the Loud & Local storytelling project, we knew we wanted to create something that truly reflected the voices and experiences of our borough.

What has emerged is richer and more illuminating than we could have imagined.

This project has shown the power of collaboration and has taught us important lessons about the value of trust, flexibility and shared ownership.  Working alongside Youth Unity,  Green Shoes Arts, and Write Back, we have seen what can be achieved when local creativity and community organisations come together. The consortium’s commitment to our shared vision, and their ability to shape and evolve it has been invaluable. We extend our sincere thanks for the energy, insight, and dedication they have shown all the way through.

To every participant who shared their story, thank you. Your voices are at the heart of this work. This is more than listening; it is about acting on what we hear. Your stories will inform a different way of serving our residents, helping us build a fairer, more connected community.

Loud & Local is a commitment to doing things differently: listening first, acting together, and shaping change with our community. We do not claim to have all the answers, but your voices will guide us as we move forward together.
